This Region-wide training will strive to raise awareness and action around the issue of women, youth, and anti-human trafficking in the USA. The overall goal of the Training Institute is to utilize a public health approach to build the capacity of community and faith-based organizations to recognize the signs of human trafficking and to identify the resources available for further training, technical assistance and referral services.
The two-day training institute will include a conference on Day 1 comprised of subject matter experts highlighting policies, program approaches and community perspectives on human trafficking prevention and advocacy, followed with an on-site training on Day 2. We are pleased to have The Freedom Network USA on Day 2 to facilitate a comprehensive skills building training on how to identify and provide services to victims and survivors of human trafficking.
