DSANV and ArtStream are proud to offer Intro to Acting for Self-Advocates (6th grade through adult). Participants will build confidence to conquer the stage while practicing skills like eye contact, projection, and focus. Plus, acting is a great way to have fun with friends!
ArtStream is a non-profit organization with the mission to bring to individuals with disabilities creative and performance opportunities that help them gain the confidence to engage with the world. ArtStream hosts classes in Montgomery County, Arlington, George Mason, and is now partnering with DSANV. Classes will be held from 7pm-8:30 pm at DSANV's offices in Oakton on Wednesday evenings from November 9th to December 7th (No class November 23rd).
The class must have a minimum of eight paticipants, and there is a maximum of twelve. Pro-rata refunds will be given during the first two weeks if your self-advocate decides the fit is not right for them. If you are paying by check, please email JoeL@dsanv.org to let him know that the check is coming and to keep your Self-Advocate's spot reserved.
