About our panelists:
Tony Vedda, IOM, CCE
Tony’s career in chamber management began more than thirty years ago as a membership specialist for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. Since then he has worked with metropolitan chambers in Arizona and California. He served five years as Executive Director of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Business Association, the nation’s first GLBT chamber of commerce.
After an eight-year hiatus, Tony returned to chamber work in 2005 when he served as Secretary for the newly created North Texas Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender (GLBT) Chamber of Commerce.  In 2007, he became the Chamber’s first president & CEO.
Tony is a graduate of the US Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) and is one of only 530 chamber leaders, and the only LGBT chamber leader, to receive the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. He currently serves a member of the US Chamber Institute Board of Trustees, is Board President of the North Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Association, and serves on the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) board of directors.

Veronica Torres
Veronica Torres currently works for the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Director of Client Experiences. In this role Ms. Torres is charged overseeing the Partnership Program in the newly created Experience Department. Her role includes developing strategies and campaigns that connect Dallas to the overall VisitDallas mission and goals. She designs unique and relevant experiences for organizations and participates throughout the sales process in order to help secure new large group business and community partnerships. Prior to her new role, Ms. Torres worked as the Director of Diversity Marketing and community relations focusing on diverse conventions and events and developing partnerships in the local Dallas community. 
Veronica is originally from Austin, Texas, a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.  Veronica currently serves on the Growth South Advisory Council and has served as the past President of the Hispanic 100 board of Directors.

John Cychol, FCDME, CTA
John Cychol is Vice President, Meeting Sales for the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau a position he’s held since August 2007. John’s primary responsibility is to serve as the “orchestra-leader” of a sales staff of eleven, who are responsible for promoting and selling Fort Worth as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, trade shows and events.
A 33-year hospitality industry veteran, John previously worked in convention sales positions for Fairmont, Hyatt Regency DFW, Loews Anatole and Registry Hotel. He most recently served as Assistant Executive Director/Sales and Service for the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau from 1996-2007.
