A first course in the New Testament, introducing the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). The course examines their structural similarities and considers their geographical, socio-political, and religious contexts to expose and explain themes and issues in the Synoptics. Selected passages from each of the Synoptic Gospels are exegeted in detail. (taught via Skype at Mercer)

The School for Ministry meets in the School’s building at the Diocesan Center one Saturday each month, from February through June. The spring semester dates are: 2/15; 3/21; 4/18; 5/9; 6/20. Class sizes are limited. Lunch is provided. Fee for each course is $25.
