School for Ministry - HS1 – Introduction to the Study of Holy Scripture 

Instructor: Rev. Dr. Michael Hull The course introduces the study of Holy Scripture: the basics of biblical science, inspiration and canonicity, and a broad outline of the contents and structure of the Old and New Testaments. (Note: class sessions taught via Skype at Mercer)

***While the stated purpose of our full curriculum is the academic preparation of deacons, we will offer two options for interested laity: (1) full participation – graded course including readings, periodic tests and written assignments (fee: $100 per course); (2) course audit, not graded, but encouraged to participate in the reading, discussion, and assignments according to interest (audit fee: $25).
