Understanding and Applying for EMLI and Diocesan Grants

This session will provide an overview of the Episcopal Ministries Mission Grants and also introduce other Diocesan funding sources. We will discuss what funding is available to your church and how to go about asking for that money.

The focus will be on the EMLI / Diocesan grant application but will also cover the key elements that funders look for generally and offer strategies for writing a compelling grant. The EMLI grant application will provide the framework for our conversation. It is as a tool that can help you clarify the vision and goals for your ministry, outline your plan for implementing that vision and identify milestones to help you track whether you are achieving your intended goals.

This will be an interactive workshop. Attendees are encouraged to share their ideas and experiences and to bring their specific questions.

 Whether your parish currently has a grant, or is considering one, this workshop will offer valuable information about how to begin or how to strengthen your mission work.
