Safe Church Training In-Person
Sexual Harassment Prevention training 9:00 - 11:30 am
Child Abuse Prevention 1:00 - 3:30 pm.
Topics to be covered are the legal, ethical, and theological foundations for the prevention of sexual abuse or harassment and the development of safe working and learning places. New employees and lay leaders are encouraged to register for these workshops.
The training is required for lay leaders, including Sunday School teachers and all parishioners who work with children in their homes.
The training is also required for church staff.
No fee is required and seating is limited. Registration closes when the session reaches capacity or seven days prior to the event, whichever occurs first.
This workshop will be offered in English. Safe Church workshops in the Spanish language are also offered. Call the Mercer Office for further information. Further Safe Church Training sessions are offered in locations across the diocese. Contact the Mercer Office for available information.
