Update: THIS WORKSHOP IS CURRENTLY FULL

Starting or growing ministries requires resources. Sometimes (but not always!) that means money.

Grants can be one source of funding that enables us to expand outreach ministries or launch other projects that enhance the vitality of the parish.

This workshop will provide an overview of fundraising through grants. Topics will include:

  • Identifying the right grant opportunities
  • Understanding and responding to the key components of a funding application
  • Presenting your project clearly and persuasively

The Episcopal Ministries of L.I. (EMLI) team will introduce the new application for the EMLI Parish Mission Grants and the Congregational Development Grants. The application will be used to demonstrate grant writing principals that provide the framework of typical grant proposals.

The EMLI Team includes:

  • Mary Beth Welsh, Executive Director
  • Franca Floro, Program Director
  • Tricia Vertucci, Development Associate

This workshop is being held in the evening starting at 6:00 p.m. in three different locations – Yaphank, Garden City and Brooklyn.

Episcopal Ministries is offering these sessions free of charge. Registration is required however and space is limited.

Dinner will be served.

Contact Franca Floro of Episcopal Ministries with any questions by email or phone: (516) 248-4800 Ext.149.
