The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program
7th Annual Program Liaisons' Summit

The Annual Robert Wood Johnson New Careers in Nursing Summit is designed to engage current grantees in current and meaningful and innovation dialogue that supports grant implementation.  This year, the Summit will focus on organizational cultures and innovation in curriculum design for accelerated nursing education. Attendees will participate in sessions to explore best practices for promoting diversity in organizational culture, innovation in curriculum design, and how to implement interprofessional instruction in accelerated nursing education programs. New and recently revised technical assistance products and programs will be introduced during the Summit. Break- out sessions allow participants to engage in more in-depth focus on  diversity recruitment,  curriculum re-design, sustaining self and the accelerated students path to the PhD. The NCIN scholars’ panel this year will present the unique and exciting Scholar Network as it is being developed.

The primary audience is program liaisons of schools awarded with NCIN scholarships during the 2014-2015 grant period. The National Program Office will support expenses related to hotel, travel and meals not provided at the meeting for one participant from each program site. The NPO will also cover some expenses for selected poster exhibitors. Poster Presenters will be announced in August as well and the covered expenses.

We offer the option to send more than one representative from each program site. While there is no fee for this participant to attend the Summit, there will be a fee of $178 to cover the incremental charges incurred. Past Grantees are also eligible to attend for this same amount as well. Space is limited and preference will be granted to those that are 2014-2015 grantees and poster presenters.
