NYS Proyecto WILD & Bilingual Project WET
NYS Proyecto WILD & Bilingual Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) are a collection of innovative, environmental activities, lessons, games and field investigations that are hands-on, easy to use and fun! Offered for the first time with bilingual resources in Spanish, Proyecto WILD focuses on wildlife, terrestrial and aquatic habitats, animals, ecology, and impact of invasive species. Project WET focuses on the physical properties of water, water quality impacts, and peoples' relationship to water throughout their lives.
Participants will receive the award-winning, NSTA-recommended Proyecto WILD Curriculum & Activity Guide, the bilingual Project WET curriculum & Activity Guide, bilingual resources, field investigation kits (limited to the first 20 registrants) and 7 hours of CTLE professional development. Correlated to the Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and STEM Educational Coalition objectives, the curriculum & activity guides gives K-12 educators accessible tools to integrate water education into every school subject.
The training is FREE and open to classroom & homeschool teachers, outreach educators, summer camp instructors and afterschool providers.
