Mission Coach Training for the CNH District

The CNH District is searching for 6-8 people (men or women) who have the capacity to be trained as coaches to come alongside pastors, DCEs, and principals who are new to the CNH District.

Interested?  Read below for more information. Contact Rita Konda, rita@cnh-lcms.org, by Wednesday, June 19, 2019, to nominate those who you think could be a mission coach; or, if you are interested in coaching, please click on the "Register Now" button below to fill out the application. (Please note that the "Register Now" button is a link to an application for the training; filling out the application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.)  Limited spots available!

We are hoping to identify…

  • 6-8 new coaches who are willing to invest in training to receive a coach’s certification.
  • those who have previously been trained, (and determine if they would be interested in continuing by participating in a “tune-up” session).  If you are interested in the "tune-up" session, please respond directly to President Lange, mike@cnh-lcms.org.

We desire to train coaches in the CNH District for the following purposes. To…

  • Come alongside our workers new to the CNH District and/or the full-time ministry.
  • Come alongside church planters or other workers.
  • Assist workers who find themselves “stuck” and are looking for assistance.
  • Enhance a culture of healthy workers and leaders.

What does a mission coach do?

A mission coach helps people answer three questions:

  1. Where am I?
  2. Where does God want me to go?
  3. How will I get there?
A mentor is sometimes defined as someone who has gone before and pours into an empty vessel that which is missing or absent.  A coach, however, is one who comes alongside and draws out what God has already given.
