This course is designed to inform all Tax Professionals. This topic we will examine modern digital currency. What Is It? When is It Taxed? Are their any reporting requirements? You will discover the proper way to service your client who has cryptocurrency to bitcoin (especially coins with small market caps). It is shaping up to be a growing market that (despite its pros and cons) is likely here for the long haul.
Our speaker: John Miller is principle of the firm, Accounting for Tax, located in San Mateo and has been in the tax business for over 20 years. He is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, representing clients in all tax matters. His specialty is the most challenging and most avoided by many tax professionals -to resolve tax problems for taxpayers before the various taxing authorities. In many cases, he has saved his clients thousands of dollars.
He is a current Board member of the CSTC San Francisco Bay Chapter. In addition to his EA Status, John is a Registered Financial Para planner emphasizing the tax consequences of financial planning decisions. He is a member of NSA and has been an adjunct faculty member of the San Mateo Community College District Business Accounting Division for the last 11 years.
