Read what others said about the CSA Cortona trips:

I thank you for the wonderful experience I had being a part of “I am Cortona” . You did an amazing job coordinating and executing the project and I do hope you feel it was worth all your hard work. I certainly am appreciative. It was also a pleasure meeting and getting to know everyone involved.  -- BettyLynn Allison

My film experience in Cortona was truly remarkable and completely memorable. Totally my favorite film experience to date.  I was able to add another film credit to my IMDB page, travel to a most beautiful country, work with an amazing and professional film crew, Made long lasting friendships with fellow actors who share a passion for acting in the film industry.  I recommend it to any actor looking for film experience and training.
-- Roger Albelo

"I truly enjoyed my time in Cortona. Ken, Giacomo, and the crew they put together were a joy to work with. I felt that I was personally and professionally enriched by the time I spent there." -- Rachael Levi

"Taking this class his been a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I enjoyed working with, Ken the director, his crew and the rest of my fellow actors. I learned so much about acting, writing, and delevering my best performance on camera. I also learned a lot about the Italian culture overseas. I can't wait to get my copy of the work that we did so that I can share it with my friends and family across the country." -- Vincent Stewart

"The experience was superb - from the training, to the filming, to the opportunity to live and work with extraordinary talent in a gorgeous setting. We remain grateful to Ken, Heather, Giacomo and their family and team members for a life-enhancing trip that enable creativity to flourish and dreams to be realized." -- Paula Frew, mother of Bryn Vale

Join us February 19, 2016 from 6-8pm for an open house to learn more about our work/study/vacation program

in picturesque Cortona, Italy!

In June of 2016 Ken Feinberg will take a small group of writers on a retreat in Tuscany for 11 days of art, culture, history, food, wine and screenwriting! Then, we will produce some of the scripts  with the help of award winning Italian Director Giacomo Arrigoni as original films starring the actors on the CSA Film Acting Intensive.

Participants from last year's programs will be at the open house along with Ken & Heather Feinberg to answer any questions you may have.  Come enjoy a few nibbles, look at photos, watch a few videos and meet some interesting people.

About the trips:

CSA Writers Retreat:

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned writer, you will be motivated & inspired by the adventure, history and culture in this quaint Etruscan village atop a mountain in central Italy.  Daily morning writing sessions with Ken Feinberg will include methods from the Artist’s Way and other creative processes, allowing you to expand your writing techniques. Writers will attend daily afternoon Tuscan excursions designed to "fill the well" of their imaginations.  These excursions will be followed by un-scheduled evenings during which participants can explore, dine, and write.  Writers will bring their updated works to class daily.

CSA will select multiple short screenplays to produce during the CSA Acting Intensive the following week in and around Cortona. Seven shorts were produced in 2015; one of which was honored with an award at the WIFTA Short Film Festival. All 7 shorts were screened at the 2015 Gwinnett Center International Film Festival.

"The mountains, and the lake and the scenery, I think, is inspirational to writing. Anyone who's into arts or acting or writing should have these kinds of experiences." --Chasity Frye

CSA Film Acting Intensive

Venture to beautiful Cortona, in the heart of Tuscany where we will produce original short films starring the actors on the program, using original scripts selected from the CSA Writers Retreat.  We will prep, rehearse, shoot, edit and screen all original short films while in Cortona.

Your onsite production team includes: acclaimed acting mentor, Ken Feinberg who who recently won the Director's Gold Award at the International Family Film Festival in November, 2015 and was also honored in 2013 with the Outstanding Achievement Award for Contribution to the Film Industry in Georgia, and Giacomo Arrigoni who is an award-winning, Golden Globe nominated Italian director.

All actors who participate in the program are guaranteed to act in a minimum of one film under the artistic vision of  Giacomo Arrigoni and receive one or more IMDB credits for their work in the films.  A gala screening will be held at the historic Teatro Signorelli, a restored 18th century opera house and theater located in the heart of Cortona.
