READ WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING AFTER TAKING WRITING CLASSES WITH KEN:

“I had the opportunity to attend a Ken Feinberg screenwriting workshop. Rather than focus solely on screenwriting formats and Hollywood rules, Ken focused on getting our stories out first and foremost. Over the course of a few weeks he helped us take our fragmented ideas and sculpt them into working screenplays. His class was an invigorating experience! Ken's class has kick started my screenwriting development and I can't wait to put all my ideas down on paper!”

- Kevin Harry

I came to Creative Studios of Atlanta and I am so happy I did. The experience was very insightful. Ken Feinberg shared wisdom as a director, actor and writer that I can take with me on my journey as an actor and writer. The information inspired me to be better, dig deeper, and keep reaching to grow.

Meet your instructor, Ken Feinberg!

Ken Feinberg calls upon a productive five-dimensional career that embodies teaching, producing, directing, writing and performing.  He has a long list of credits that demonstrates the fortitude of his craft. His broad knowledge of the industry and his devotion to the arts whether on film, television or stage is expressed in his many accomplishments.

For over 27 years, Feinberg has produced, directed and acted in award-winning films, hit television series and major theater projects in Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta. He has won numerous awards in more than 100 productions, and he has achieved a great deal in the years he’s been back in Atlanta after nurturing his career in New York and Hollywood.

As the Founder and CEO of Creative Studios of Atlanta, Feinberg was honored with the OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE FILM INDUSTRY IN GEORGIA AWARD in 2013 at the Georgia Film Awards, the first individual to receive this accolade. More recently, he was honored in November, 2015 with the Directors Gold Award from the International Family Film Festival.

Feinberg’s acting career started on stage in Atlanta and New York before transitioning to film and television in L.A. He is known for memorable characters on such popular series as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, The District, Alias and Star Trek: Enterprise. Some of his film highlights include the Alma Award winning film No Turning Back, Pray Another Day, the Britney Spears music video Lucky and most recently Space Warriors with Dermot Mulroney, Mira Sorvino and Josh Lucas.

In addition to his acting career, Feinberg has also produced and directed theater since 1992 in Los Angeles and Atlanta. As a member of the prominent Hollywood Repertory Company in Los Angeles, Feinberg co-wrote and produced Real Life Photographs, a drama about a family dealing with mental illness. The production was nominated for a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award. Feinberg adapted Peter and Wendy in Neverland for a deaf theater company, which was published by Yale University Press. Additionally, Feinberg directed the hit A Tribute to Saturday Night Live at the Hollywood Fight Club in Los Angeles and also directed original shows at the Stella Adler Theater and the Long Beach Playhouse.

Feinberg now teaches producing, directing, screenwriting and acting at his studios. He is the founder of the CSA Film Academy a highly selective, year-long acting program in which Feinberg personally mentors students in the film industry. Feinberg also takes groups of Film Academy actors he has trained to Los Angeles yearly for continuing education.

Feinberg's "Behind the Velvet Rope" series of classes and workshops is geared toward providing fuel for motivated indivduals in the film industry; both aspiring and working professionals.  All Behind The Velvet Rope courses allow small groups of participants (20 or less per class/workshop) to gain intimate access to highly qualified instructors.  Small classes allow participants to create relationships with others while they learn by honing the tools of their trade with hands-on exercises and techniques.  The best way to learn is by doing, and when you have mentors to guide you as you go, "doing" is easier.  The series includes courses in various aspects of Writing, Producing, Directing, and Acting. Aside from local ATL classes & workshops, Feinberg has also taken students to the Cannes Film Festival in France and to Cortona, Italy "Under the Tuscan Sun".  He is leading 2 work-study vacation programs this June in Italy: one in writing and one in film acting.
