Felesia Otis Training

Please join us for the upcoming Al Forthan Scholarship Training featuring Felesia Otis BS, CADC II discussing Effective Strategies for Treating Individuals with Criminal Behavior and Addiction. The training will take place on on Wednesday, February 14th.

The purpose of this training is to help gain an understanding of the research that looks at the things that put people at risk of being involved in criminal activity. You will learn how risk and protective factors can assist helpers in targeting appropriate interventions for change. You will obtain the latest information about best practices currently being used with the criminal justice populations.

This training costs $60 and will provide 3 ACCBO CEUs. All proceeds go towards the Al Forthan Scholarship.

Felesia Otis BS, CADC II has 26 years’ experience in substance abuse programming and addiction treatment for men, women and youth offenders.  She is currently the Clinical Director for VOA’s Community Partners Reinvestment Project where she oversees programming for young male offenders re-entering the community from prison.  Felesia also worked with the National Institute of Corrections in developing curriculum and training for probation officers.  Over the last 5 years she has provided consultation to several treatment centers and technical assistance to agencies that are looking to integrate evidence-based practices into their programs.
