Urban Indigenous Housing Forum 

Manitoba's annual Urban and Rural Indigenous Housing Forum is postponed until further notice. While gatherings of this size are not prohibited, we know that public health officials have advised to avoid crowded places and events.

Join urban and rural Indigenous housing providers from across the province to share ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from each other.

The event is free for the first two people from MNPHA member organizations. Additional registrants from member organizations are $35 + GST each. Registrants from organizations that are not MNPHA members are $40 + GST each.

The agenda for the event includes:

1. Organizational Policies and Procedures (round table and resource sharing): dealing with arrears, charge backs, damages, inspections, and more in equitable and effective ways

Lunch: Updates on the National Housing Strategy and Manitoba Housing Action Plan

2. Education to Support Successful Tenancies: Rent Smart's tenant education model and how it's being used, tenant orientations in practice

Participation costs, including travel, may be covered by Manitoba Housing or CMHC for those with an existing agreement. Contact your primary contact at MB Housing or CMHC.
