Senior Year Essentials!

College Application and
Scholarship Success Workshop

The college application process can be intimidating and overwhelming.  Wondering what you don't even know can be one of the greatest stressers in the fall of the senior year.  This single workshop will clarify all of the critical elements of it so that seniors and parents alike can enjoy the journey with confidence!

Location- This is NOT the usual location for our classes!  This is the other church, around the corner. We will have this class, as well as the Essay Writing class that morning, at New River Community Church in Lake Wylie.  Map and directions available on the left.  It's right around the corner from where we usually hold our classes. It's a one story church with a bright blue metal roof!

This class will cover all of the following topics and more:

- choosing the colleges (how many, which ones, etc.),
finding out their scholarship and financial aid opportunities,
completing the application,
- basic rules of writing the admission essay and/or scholarship essays
- sending the SAT/ACT/SAT subject test scores,
- getting letters of recommendation
- picking the right deadlines for you (early action, early decision, regular decision)
- getting organized and having a clear plan of parent/student communication throughout it all

....all while balancing schoolwork, sports, and the stress of the senior year.
So, for families seeking a game plan for what lies ahead and knowledge for navigating it successfully, this workshop is a must.
