Kripalu yoga teacher and cooking program assistant Mary Hammerstein will introduce strategies for mindful eating and basic cooking efficiency while offering healthy recipes that will get you out of the kitchen quickly in order to enjoy summer. Learn about hearty salads to prepare ahead and pack away for a day at the beach. Explore sauces that can be used for cooking or grilling fish, meat or chicken. Depending on what is available fresh at the local markets, recipes may include Hummus, Quinoa Avocado Salad, Kale and Apple Salad, Greek Watermelon Salad, Thai Broccoli Salad, Basil Mustard Sauce, Orange Yogurt Sauce, Mustard Vinaigrette, Corn and Avocado Relish, Charmoula Sauce. We’ll taste wine to compliment the menu.
