Love Sushi Rolls but a bit intimidated when it comes making them at home? Former professional Sushi Chef and current Chef de Cuisine at Castle Hill Inn, Andy Taur is here to teach us how! First Chef Andy will demo how to perfectly cook sushi rice - cooling and seasoning it are the key. While the rice cools, he’ll show proper vegetable prep and ask students to grab a knife and get involved. And then we’ll learn to roll. The first rolls will be the basics, a California Roll and a Salmon or Tuna Roll. Next Chef
Andy will teach us two more complicated rolls - one layered with fish on top often called a Dragon Roll, and a beautiful Flower Roll. He’ll also share tips, tricks and hints on how to perfect your own sushi making art and we’ll learn creative plating to make your sushi look simply beautiful. In class we’ll taste Sake chosen to compliment the menu.
