Exploring Vietnamese Cuisine with Chef Deja Hart
In this hands on class taught by Chef Deja Hart we’ll make a delicious menu of
Vietnamese Pho: a flavorful beef and pork broth soup with thinly sliced beef, Bahn Mi a roasted pork sandwich with pate, pickled carrots, daikon & chilies and Lychees in Coconut Milk with Sago Pearls, a classic Vietnamese fruit dessert. In class Chef Deja will discuss the cuisine of Vietnam and its flavor profiles, the many iterations of rice - steamed, sticky, noodles, pancakes & porridge, the importance of fish sauce and seasoning herbs mint, cilantro and lemongrass, and native tropical fruits - lychee, rambutan, banana, and mango. We’ll taste wine to compliment the menu.
