The Newport Cooks kitchen will be transformed into a French Pātisserie as we learn from RISD trained Chef Angelina Pattavina how to make beautiful & tasty French macarons. Not to be confused with the American coconut macaroon, French macarons are made with ground almonds and soft meringue. They are lightly and crisp on the outside and moist on the inside and are typically filled with ganache, creme or homemade fruit jams. They are delightful with a cup of tea or coffee, as a light dessert or as a special treat anytime! Once you’ve mastered these iconic French cookies, you’ll no doubt be begged to make them for special occasions, parties, picnics, and just because, life is too short not to enjoy French macarons on a regular basis!
