About Tamer

Tamer Ghoneim
Tamer is a practicing calligrapher and photographer. His calligraphic work is an exploration of language as visual art on paper and digitally. He enjoys working with simple, traditional tools to reimagine inspiring words and passages. You can find his work:
Typism (Book 5), Typism (Book 6), Lettering Daily Tutorial, Art Houston Magazine (Issue #7), and Silvershotz Magazine (2011 Folios Issue).
In addition to calligraphy, Tamer loves chocolate, drawing, martial arts and guitar. He grew up in Houston, Texas with comic books and was particularly mesmerized by the art that was packed into each of my favorite titles every month. He earned his Engineering degree at Texas A&M.
Tamer continues to be amazed by all of the incredibly talented artists out there –
both traditional and digital.
