Italic Tuneup with Cora Pearl

Italic lettering by Cora Pearl

Italic calligraphy is one of the most beautiful and versatile styles of calligraphy, but it takes a long time to master.

Cora Pearl, professional calligrapher and college level instructor of Calligraphy and Hand Lettering, will teach the nuances of the Italic hand and break down each letter, stroke by stroke using the broad edge nib.
We will review the construction of each majuscule (capitals) and minuscule (lower case) letter, learning about letter families and qualities common to each letter group.
This workshop is not for brand new beginners of calligraphy—it is ideal for calligraphers who have some previous experience with Italic and/or with the broad edge pen.
