This year's conference, The Competitive Landscape, will focus on the impacts of local and national regulatory initiatives on the competitive markets, as well as the changes that will be brought about by new leadership at both the state and federal levels. IPPNY is proud to feature a keynote address by Commissioner Tony Clark of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as well as insights from newly appointed New York Public Service Commissioner, Audrey Zibelman on topics of importance to our members and guests.

Conference attendees will hear about nationwide issues such as the implementation of FERC Order 1000 and a new climate change plan, and New York-based initiatives such as the continued progress of the Energy Highway and the Demand Curve reset. The event will feature a panel discussion that will delve deeper into the impacts of these issues in our neighboring states and across the country. Conference-goers also will receive an update on the energy plans for New York City post-Hurricane Sandy and an overview on the state of the competitive markets.

Our fall conference regularly attracts well over 100 energy industry executives, policy makers and members of the financial and legal communities. Featured speakers include: FERC Commissioner Tony Clark, as the luncheon keynote speaker, Dr. Susan Tierney, Managing Principal of the Analysis Group, and Sergej Mahnovski, Director of Energy Policy for Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
