Despite popular belief and the rumor mill, SAME Phoenix Post did not dissolve during the national pandemic. I do not mean to make light of the pandemic by any means as we all have been affected by COVID-19 in one way or another. I know it has been awhile since we have gathered as a group and some us can’t even remember what we look like anymore. Well, in great anticipation of seeing everyone’s work from home virtual backgrounds, we are hosting a SAME Re-Engagement Event. This will be a 30-40 minute Virtual Brainstorming Session with Industry. The topic at hand will be “In Person Events”. We as a Post want to hear from our sustaining firms and members the lessons learned from your experiences and company policies adopted during this pandemic on in-person events. This will be an open roundtable discussion format.

Unfortunately, the 2020 calendar of events as schedule has taken a hard left turn during the pandemic as most of your conferences and other events in your daily lives this year. Your Post Board Members have been discussing how to proceed forward with future events, whether they be virtual or in-person. We know a lot of our members view SAME events as an opportunity for business development and it is harder to do BD at a virtual event. So we know we still will need to continue some in-person events and we want to implement processes that have been successfully tested throughout our industry on how to safely handle in person events going forward.
