Speaker Topic: "TL 9000, ICT Industry Quality Standard"

Join us to learn about the benefits of TL 9000 and its impact in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.  Customer expectations are increasing in a fast pace changing industry.  The need for ever higher product quality/reliability is paramount for high network availability and cost savings to the company’s bottom line.
TL 9000 measurements provide industry wide benchmarking and drive quality improvement trends.

Mr. Stephen Choy

Speakers Biography:

Since joining Infinera in January 2008, Stephen focuses on implementing world class product quality and reliability at Infinera.  During the past 24 years, he held quality management/engineering positions including responsibility for ISO/TL9000 implementation, corporate reliability program, customer satisfaction program, and supplier quality management.

Stephen is a certified quality engineer and senior ASQ member, serving in ASQ Silicon Valley Section 0613 leadership team. Stephen currently serves as New Member Process chair for OSWG and Americas region in QuEST Forum.  He is also a TL9000 expert and contributor to TL9000 QMS requirements and measurements handbooks.

Previous to Infinera, Stephen was in quality/reliability engineering roles at Ericsson, Nortel Networks, Amber Networks, McAfee, Trimble Navigation, and Applied Materials.

Douglas has many years of experience as a consultant, manager, and engineer in the computer and software industries . In addition to teaching, he provides organizational assessments, strategic quality planning, and test planning services. His recent technical work has focused on equivalence class analysis, test oracles, and advanced test automation architectures. He is a regular speaker at conferences worldwide, holds credentials for teaching Computer Science at the college level, and has taught management, technical, and quality assurance related university classes for several Universities on both coasts. He has been very active in the Section's activities; teaching classes, leading the Software TAG (SSQA), and he holds the distinction of being ASQ's SV Section Chair twice. He is also a founder, Lead instructor, and Past President of the Association for Software Testing (AST), an international professional society.
