Speaker Topic: Intro to CMMI, SCAMPI and Return on Investment information
The CMMI is a multi-staged process improvement framework that addresses: building products, providing services, and acquiring goods and services from outside vendors. An organization develops processes, that when followed, leads them into compliance with the CMMI’s best practices. The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) is an appraisal mechanism that validates that an organization is following their own CMMI compliant processes, and therefore the organization has achieved a CMMI Maturity Level Rating. Information from a client case study that presents how much a “typical” mid-sized client might invest in achieving a CMMI Maturity Level, and what the payback might be.
