Speaker Topic: Leveraging Big Data and Business Intelligence for Quality Improvement

We have generated more data in last ten years than since birth of time. With explosion in data generation Quality professionals face challenges of using data effectively in a timely manner for driving quality improvement throughout their organization. Praveen’s presentation explores linkages between Big Data, Business Intelligence and Quality Improvement. Praveen will present a practical overview of Big Data, share his Strategy for Execution Map demonstrating relationship between quality and business objectives, and introduce a new process management model based on PDCA for achieving perfection.

Mr. Praveen Gupta

Speaker Biography:

Praveen Gupta is a quality expert, recognized for his work on Quality Management, Six Sigma, Process Management, KPIs and Innovation. He has authored over 10 books and 100 articles or columns on quality related topics. He led development of IPC guidelines standard for implementing SPC in electronics industry, was a member of US TAG for ISO 9000 standards, prototyped the Six Sigma methodology, published the first peer reviewed article on Six Sigma, and taught thousands of professionals worldwide in quality and innovation. He is invited reviewer for Singapore’s National Research Foundation (NRF). Praveen is a Fellow of ASQ, and Certified Quality, Software Quality and Six Sigma Black Belt. He has worked with about 100 organizations to implement QMS, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and training.

Praveen is the Director of Corporate Quality at Prysm, Inc., which designs and builds large collaboration videowalls facilitating global teamwork for developing customer centric innovative solutions, and displaying ‘Big Data.’ Prysm videowalls have been installed in large auditoriums, conference rooms, TV stations and studios, control rooms, and executive offices.
