Barker Teen Connections

This fun one-day program offers high school students who were adopted a unique opportunity to connect with others who were adopted and participate in:
- Participation in a service project related to adoption (and earn four service hours), and program attendees will be offered the opportunity to participate in additional service projects (and earn credits) throughout the school year
- Thoughtful workshops exploring: thoughts about adoption, identity as an adoptee, feelings about birth parents, and peer and social issues
- Fun indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) activities

All activities are led by professional staff who were themselves adopted, or have personal experience with adoption. The program begins at 9:00 AM Saturday, November 11th, and concludes at 5 PM. Cost is $95 per teen (financial assistance available if needed) which includes all activities and lunch.
