CWLC Member Event: British Columbia Round Table

"Roles of Government & Child-Serving Organizations in Keeping Kids Safe"

Child Welfare League of Canada (CWLC) convenes member events across Canada throughout the year. These are valuable networking and knowledge exchange opportunities for our members and invited guests.

What's in it for you? CWLC brings together an array of experts, opinion leaders, child advocates, public sector executives and frontline service providers in a particular geographical area. We set a theme and prepare discussion points to get the conversation started. The collective wealth of knowledge and experience in the room is palpable, the ideas begin to flow, everyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. We end the event with a 30-minute networking session. And voilą! Our members and guests walk away with valuable new ideas, perspectives and contacts.

Please join us for a member event in Vancouver on Thursday, April 25 at 4:30-5:30 PM PDT! You are also welcome to stay and network with colleagues from 5:30-6:00 PM.

Round Table Theme: "Roles of Government and Child-Serving Organizations in Keeping Kids Safe"

  • What is currently working most effectively in community-based initiatives for keeping kids safe?
  • What are promising areas for collaboration in protecting British Columbia's children and youth?

 Hosting this event:

  • Gordon Phaneuf, MSW, RSW, Chief Executive Officer, CWLC
  • Dennis Dandeneau, CWLC Board Chair and Executive Director of The Children's Foundation
