2019 Fall Church Worker Conference

The annual Fall Church Worker Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South in Independence, Ohio.  The conference begins on Monday, October 14 at 11:30 am with the opening worship service at St. John Lutheran Church, Garfield Heights. It ends on Wednesday, October 16 at 11:00 am and meals included are dinner on Monday and Tuesday and lunch on Tuesday.

Congregations are encouraged to provide the funds for both Pastor and wife to attend. Vicars, Deaconesses, Licensed Deacons, and Emeriti Pastors are also invited and would appreciate it if their congregation would underwrite the expense of the Conference.

This is a REQUIRED Conference for all pastoral ministry staff (pastors, deaconess, licensed deacons and vicars) of The Ohio District. If circumstances prevent you from attending, be sure to respond to the email invitation with the reason you are not able to attend. You may also send your excuse to President Wilson's assistant, Cheryl Ohradzansky, via email at ohradzanskyc@oh.lcms.org.

     Speaker Biography

Description of the Conference topic, Ted Kober's book, Built on the Rock: The Healthy Congregation.  Please refer to the Conference Agenda for additional details.  There will be separate sessions for the wives held at the same time as the main speaker, Mr. Kober. 

 Please note: This registration and the associated fee is for the Conference and meals only. You will also need to contact The Holiday Inn Cleveland South for sleeping room reservations. To make reservations, contact the Holiday Inn at 216-524-8050 ext 298 prior to September 6, 2019. Please ask for group name Ohio District Lutheran Pastors Conference when making reservations to get the discounted group rate. 

Circuit Visitors and Vice-Presidents: Your meetings begin on Sunday, October 13th. Please remember to book your lodging at the Holiday Inn accordingly.
