Job Foundation & Transition Community of Practice

Join us for the next Washington State Job Foundation and Transition Community of Practice Series event, on Thursday, March 28th from 3:00 to 4:30pm PST.

We will be discussing the process for students transitioning out of school into adult services. We will be reviewing process, eligibility and best practice across the state for moving transition students onto the Basic+ waiver and into employment services. We will hear about the collaborative efforts of Counties, DDA’s employment specialists, and case managers on how they work together to support all transition students into adult services thru employment.

All transition stakeholders are invited to attend, including employment providers, school representatives, DVR counselors, DDA case managers, counties, students and families. Come learn about Transition Services with the goal to help increase employment outcomes for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in your community.

These Community of Practice events will be loosely structured around a topic related to the Job Foundation program and transition services. They are designed to be flexible in meeting the needs of those engaging in transition services in their local communities.

We look forward to seeing you!
