Preretirement Information Meeting for Public School Employees

If you are within four years from retirement, you may want to attend a Preretirement Information Meeting (PRIM).

A PRIM lasts about two-hours and is an opportunity for you to learn more about your retirement plan so you can make informed decisions about your future. Topics include:
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Calculating retirement benefits
  • Choosing a pension payment option
  • Insurance after retirement
  • Questions and answers

You may wish to download the Retirement Readiness book to review before the meeting begins.

The meeting will be conducted on the campus of Northern Michigan University in the University Center's Brule Room. Click here for a campus map. The University Center is marked with the letters "UC" just north of Kaye Avenue.

Note: If the facility is closed due to inclement weather or for any other reason, the meeting is canceled.
