FASA Webinar Series is presenting:
Build a Foundation of Achievement Through Student Learning
Based on Stephen R. Covey's best selling book, "The Leader in Me", this session highlights schools across the globe that have incorporated "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and other leadership tools into their everyday curriculum. These schools have experienced the following great results: Students who have the skills and self confidence to become leaders in the 21st century; decreased discipline referrals; improved academic achievement; increased levels of accountability and engagement among staff; greater satisfaction and involvement among parents. This session will help participants begin the formulation of a vision on what a Culture of Leadership can add to their schools.
Speakers:
Elizabeth Wierda and Edie Jarrell
Ms. Wierda and Ms. Jarrell currently serve as Principals and Learning Leaders in St. Johns County school system. These two leaders have embraced a school leadership design entitled The Leader in Me and have experienced the power and impact of student owned learning, students tracking their own progress, and increased attendance, achievement, and leadership abilities within their student body. Both principals have collectively served for over 50 years as teachers, administrators and district trainers. They have served in both urban and suburban schools and have experienced both the successes and challenges of implementing a student leadership design. Their collective experience and involvement in student leadership can guide other leaders to embrace the mission to prepare students for both college and career through a strategic design of student led learning.
Each person registered will receive a certificate of participation following the webinar. You can also register your school team at a discounted rate.
