FASA Webinar Series is presenting:

Prevent Marzano Madness: How to infuse Dr. Marzano's research based
strategies into your school
This session outlines a prescription on how administrators can effectively manage coaching teachers, conducting observations, running the school, AND maintaining sanity. Participants will gain insight on how one principal got out from behind her desk in order to effectively implement Dr. Marzano’s evaluation system while still meeting school operational demands.

Speakers:

Mary Hool
As a child of an American father and a Cuban mother, Mary Hool had a childhood filled with the rich heritage of two cultures.  Raised in South Miami, she is a proud product of the Dade County Public School System where she began her teaching career upon graduation from the University of Florida in 1983.  After 16 years as a classroom teacher, she moved into administration where she has spent the last 14 years as a school principal with Orange County Public Schools. She is known in Orange County Public Schools for her passionate voice for children and teachers. Most recently, Ms. Hool has stepped to the forefront amongst district administrators embracing Dr. Marzano’s Art and Science of Teaching.  She currently serves on the district’s Teacher and School Leader Evaluation Advisory Committee, designed to assist in developing consistent district implementation, and has been trained in Deliberate Practice, Inter-Rater Reliability, and Master Observer. Through a hands-on approach to training teachers and an ever-changing way of dealing with the administrative responsibilities of leading an elementary school, Ms. Hool has developed an innovative approach for the 21st Century School Administrator. She believes that in order for schools to make effective gains, they must be led by principals who carve out a radically new role for themselves as instructional leaders and human capital managers.

Each person registered will receive a certificate of participation following the webinar.  You can also register your school team at a discounted rate.
