Dance Here. Hip-Hop. | H+ Community Class

The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory (H+) in conjunction with No Longer Empty present "Dance Here. Hip-Hop." for the exhibition "This Side of Paradise" at The Andrew Freedman Home. H+ Curator of Works, Yvonne Chow, promises it to be “a celebratory day of full-sensory exploration in an art form and cultural invention that was birthed in the Bronx, and has now culturally diffused across theglobal sphere!”

“Dance Here. Hip-Hop.” will commence at 11:30AM with the acclaimed H+ Community Class in the Grand Ballroom. Opento dancers of ALL levels, this class is a structured, disciplined, caring, nonjudgmental environment that takes you through the foundational cornerstones of the art: Popping, Locking, Boogaloo, Breaking, Rocking and Party Dances! The class will then move to the Billiards Room from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Community Class guests will have the rare opportunity to ask conservatory students questions regarding their profession and career trajectory. AK47 mini-documentaries detailing the conservatory student's intensive training and high standard pedagogy will provide more insight and context. Light refreshments will be served.

Online registration is now closed. Limited registration will be accepted today at the Andrew Freedman Home starting at 11:30am.

Pieces from Yvone Christa's collection will be available for purchase for the duration of the "Dance Here. Hip-Hop." event. Prices will start at $100. Cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express will be accepted. Proceeds will go towards The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory Foundation and Yvone Christa Jewelry Company.
