Kashi Pilgrimage Weekend, 2015 

Going on pilgrimage is certainly not a new idea; in fact it is as old as time. People do it for many reasons: to be blessed or find healing, to take time away from a busy schedule, to commemorate something or someone; or perhaps to experience the sanctity of a sacred place.

As we commemorate the third year of Ma Jaya’s passing, we invite you to make a pilgrimage to Kashi Ashram, Ma’s home where she lived and taught for 36 years. Whether you knew Ma personally or not, the essence of years of prayers and spiritual teachings infuses the grounds and interfaith temples of Kashi with stillness and tranquility. Join many of the students who return to pay homage at this time, as well as the residents whom Ma taught for nearly four decades, who love to share their stories and the wisdom of the lineage. 

Whether you come to refresh and relax, to remember, to receive, or to rekindle your spiritual passion, this is a perfect to time to release old baggage and replenish yourself with new energy.

This weekend, join us in the rituals of preparing for a sacred fire puja and in doing Kali Natha Yoga, the deeply spiritual yoga that Ma passed on to us, accompanied by live kirtan. We will also visit Ma’s private gardens and pay homage to the Interfaith temples surrounding Kashi’s sacred Ganga.
