AIM Photonics has been announced with much fanfare.  But what is integrated photonics and how will its cross-cutting potential affect industry? How will it change our lives?
The National Academies report, Optics & Photonics: Essential Technologies for Our Nation; the National Photonics Initiative.  AIM Photonics.  The Obama administration and the Department of Defense have established a national manufacturing institute for integrated photonics headquartered in Rochester and led by New York State technology leaders and their colleagues across the nation.

Panel Discussion: What is Integrated Photonics?  Why is a U.S. institute Integrated Photonics Manufacturing and Innovation important to national security?  Why it important to New York? How will it change our lives?
