Grow It! Try It! Like It! and Catapult Painting Camp Grades 3-6

Monday, July 11-Friday, July 15,  9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 

 

 

 
College for Kids and Teens is a summer outreach program that offers individual classes and day camps for students in grades K-12. Students have a selection of courses, including STEAM and STEMM.  Each class provides a great opportunity for students to explore new areas of interest, stretch their imagination or cultivate a skill! Activities are conducted in a non-graded environment where personal growth and development are encouraged. Classes are limited and are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

 

Students will participate in both Grow It! Try It! Like It! and Catapult Painting camp sessions througout the week. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by Fresh Abilities. 

Grow It! Try It! Like It!Learn about the role nutrition plays in eating and maintaining
a healthy lifestyle by creating a garden and harvesting their own produce. Students will also learn about how local organic produce and the importance of sustainable agriculture.

Catapult Painting: Catapult painting is when science, math and art collide! You will combine your new engineering skills with your artistic creativity to build the most efficient catapult to paint a wall canvas, tee-shirt and more!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS                                                                                                     How do I determine my child's grade level? Grade level is the grade that your child will enroll in for the next school year.       

Is transportation offered? No, the parent/guardian is responsible for transportation to and from Clark State. Students should arrive at the classroom ten minutes early and should be picked up promptly after class ends.  NOTE: Day Camp students will not be picked up until the end of their class.

Will my child need extra supplies or materials for class? No, all instructional materials are included in the cost of the class.  

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE! Don’t let financial roadblocks stand in the way of your child attending College for Kids and Teens. Apply for a scholarship today! CANCELED COURSES AND CHANGES The College reserves the right to cancel any courses before the first session due to low enrollment. If a class is canceled, you will be notified one to two weeks prior to the start date and you will be fully refunded.  You may also transfer the registration payment to another class (some conditions apply.) Instructors reserve the right to dismiss a student from his/her course if the student demonstrates a behavioral or attendance problem.  Lastly, the College also reserves the right to change instructors.  


*Students must attend camp all week to recieve American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card. 

**If your child has food allergies or dietary restrictions, please provide a packed breakfast and lunch from home.
