The Brandon Kramm "Field of Dreams" Benefit Auction & Reception

Please join us for the "Field of Dreams" Benefit Auction & Reception on Saturday, June 11th in the Col. John Kelly Room of Country Cupboard. The Green Dragon Foundation is hosting the event with support from Brandon Kramm's family and friends. The event will support Brandon's "Field of Dreams" project, a baseball field at the new Lewisburg Area High School (LAHS)!

In 2014, friends and family of Brandon Kramm established the Brandon S. Kramm Memorial Endowment at The Green Dragon Foundation (GDF) as a lasting tribute to the impact Brandon had on his friends, family and LAHS community. The endowed fund was created to ensure funding for current and future high school students for distinguished athletic programs and facilities.

Brandon was a 2001 graduate of LAHS where he was an exemplary student and a stand-out athlete in baseball, football, and basketball. He was a 2005 graduate of Harvard University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Spanish. In 2002, he was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases, Crohn's disease and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a rare liver disorder. He passed away in May of 2013, two months after his 2nd liver transplant.

Brandon loved playing all sports, including baseball. He was a baseball catcher from the time he was 5 yrs. old until he graduated from LAHS in 2001. His family loved watching Brandon “captain” his teams from home plate.

In 1996, Brandon and several teammates played on the Pennsylvania STYX baseball team at the Junior Olympics in Tucson, Arizona. One of his proudest memories was in 1997 when his Little League All Star team placed 4th in the world at the Senior Division Little League World Series in Kissimmee, Fla. The team played 58 baseball games that year!  It was an amazing experience for the boys, their families, and the hundreds of Lewisburg fans that followed the team on their journey.

While in high school, Brandon’s baseball team qualified for districts all four years and in 1999 and 2000 they were district champs and played in the state playoffs.

In 2002, he enjoyed a fabulous summer interning with the Baltimore Orioles operations management.

After being the recipient of two liver transplants, Brandon often said, "I need to pay it forward." To quote one of Brandon’s favorite baseball movies: “If you build it, they will come.”  Well Brandon we hope to pay it forward and build it!”

Help us build a new baseball field at the new LAHS campus! Please join us for The Brandon Kramm "Field of Dreams" Benefit Auction & Reception.
