Business Coaching Program for
Aspiring Farmers and Ranchers

March - June 2019

Register by Monday, April 15th

This program is designed to be provided as a follow up to the visioning course for aspiring farmers and ranchers. It will include individual coaching/ consulting sessions, group calls with the coaching cohort, educational webinars, farm tours, and workshops/retreats.

Prerequisite: All registrants must fall under the USDA Definition for Beginning Farmer or Rancher. https://lrftool.sc.egov.usda.gov/BFRP_Definition.aspx

Cost: This pilot program is provided to aspiring farmers/ ranchers through a BFRD grant through USDA. There are no fees associated with participation in the 2019 cohort. Participants are responsible for travel/lodging associated with events.

Coaching Team: This program is facilitated by Guidestone Colorado with the support of partners including but not limited to Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Colorado Tourism Office, and regional Food Hub organizations. Lead consultant:

Dan is the Membership Coordinator for Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, most recently served as Guidestone's Director of Colorado Land Link and is an active farmer/rancher. Dan is committed to supporting beginning farmers/ranchers, family farms and community development. He is the owner/operator of Forestbird Farm and has diverse experience in production agriculture.
