Where

In person lessons are typically at Mary Louise's Office at Office Evolution in Raleigh, NC (next to Crabtree Valley Mall), although other arrangements can be made.

If not at our studio, a travel fee of 50 cents per mile plus tolls and parking applies. The travel fee is waived for these additional Triangle locations, suitable for field sessions:

Online lessons are conducted using the Zoom application.

Appointments are required.

Daytime and and evening appointments are available on weekdays and weekends.  It is recommended that you make an appointment at least two weeks in advance, although some last minute appointments may be possible.

Private lessons and/or consultation with professional photographer Mary Louise Ravese. Typical suggested session duration is 1 to 3 hours.

5 and 10 hour discount packages may be used over multiple sessions.

These sessions can be used for a variety of purposes like to conduct lessons on photography topics of interest to the participant/s, to get help with using image editing software, or to get constructive feedback on images participants have made.

For online lessons, we use a private, password protected "Zoom" video conferencing "meeting" for our session. You need an internet connected computer/laptop with integrated/connected webcam, microphone and speakers to participate. There is no additional software cost to you to participate in the private video conference we setup for our session. The video conferencing platform is easy to use and key features will be explained in a complementary orientation briefing that last just a few minutes at the beginning of a session, before we get into the content of the session.

In the video conference you can see and hear me, see my presentation slides, see other programs I'm working with on my machine e.g. image editing software like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Nik or Topaz, see and hear the other participants (if there are any). You can choose to share your video (webcam feed) so I can see your camera and direct you to where settings are on your camera. In addition, you can choose to share images on your computer with me, and you can raise your hand and ask questions in real time.
