Autism Diagnostic Observation
Schedule-2 (ADOS-2) Training
 

MESA Project and OK LEND are pleased to offer this two-day workshop on the use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2).  The ADOS-2 is considered the "gold standard" for identifying individuals with autism across ages, developmental levels, and language skills.  This presentation will include instructions on administration and scoring using a mixture of instructional methods including lecture, live demonstration, and discussion.  Participants will be given the opportunity to practice scoring during the demonstration.

ROBIN GABRIELS, PSY.D.
 is a licensed clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor in the departments of psychiatry and pediatrics at the University of Colorado at Denver. Dr. Gabriels is the founder and Director of the Neuropsychiatric Special Care Program, a crisis assessment and intervention day treatment and inpatient unit at the Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gabriels has over 25 years of experience assessing and treating a variety of child, adolescent, and adult populations, has written articles and book chapters in the fields of autism, asthma, and art therapy, and has lectured and conducted workshops on autism spectrum disorder, both nationally and internationally. 

Who Should Attend
This workshop is designed for professionals with a background in autism and formal testing.  Participants will be better prepared to identify and make educational placement decisions for children with autism after completing the training.
