Why earn the CHSE?

Earning the CHSE certification will help advance your career, position you as a leader and publicly demonstrate your commitment to being the best in simulation education. More than 800 educators in 12 countries have earned the CHSE credential since 2012. Add your name to this growing roster!

Gain the confidence and knowledge you need to become a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) by attending the Society for Simulation in Healthcare's (SSH) new CHSE Exam Preparation Workshop. Led by well-known, experienced simulation experts, this one-day course provides essential information on pursuing certification.

Come and learn in the beauty of Pikes Peak!

Join us and…
1. Learn the components of the certification process. The workshop introduction will focus on exam prerequisites, the application process and the study resources available. The casual format encourages interaction.
2. Identify your exam content strengths and weaknesses. The CHSE exam blueprint will be the basis for discussion about the content. Instructors will focus on the fi ve knowledge domains of the exam: education and assess learners using simulation; display professional values and capabilities;demonstrate knowledge of simulation principles, practice and methodology: manage overall simulation resources and environments; and engage in scholarly activities.
3. Develop your personal action plan. At the close of the workshop, instructors will help you create a step-by-step action plan that includes a timeline, a list of study tools and resources, key dates and more.

The  CHSE  Readiness Review explores the exam's 5 knowledge domains:

  1. Education and Assess Learners Using Simulation
  2. Display Professional Values and Capabilities
  3. Demonstrate Knowledge of Simulation Principles, Practice and Methodology
  4. Manage Overall Simulation Resources and Environments
