BLUEGRASS & GEE'S BEND 2023

One of our most popular workshops is back with great bluegrass music classes and Gee's Bend quilting. This four-day workshop provides a truly immersive experience with a fun and enthusiastic community of musicians and artists. This year join us for bluegrass music classes, famed Gee's Bend quilting, and more! With more than 1,140 acres of forest consisting of breathtaking canyons, waterfalls, miles of hiking trails, and glistening streams, there’s plenty of exploring to do during your free time. Take a hike, go canoeing, or pick a porch and rocking chair to relax. If you are joining us as a visitor we encourage you to check out the Friday class offered by Wild Alabama. Unlike the other classes at BGGB this class will run Friday only and only requires a small materials fee. Students wishing to take this class are welcome to register for lodging and meals for the entire weekend.

Pricing is based on meals, lodging, and tuition:

Lodging choices: Lodging for this event will be in Bethany Village. Participants will have the option to stay in a Bethany Lodge room or a dorm style cabin. Our lodge rooms each have two queen beds and a private bath. The private rooms open onto a common living space (shared by other students) with refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, microwave, and fireplace. You may book a private room for one or share a room with your spouse, partner, or friend. Cabins are dormitory style, each having 24 twin beds and community bathrooms with private showers and stalls. Pricing depends on your choice of lodging. All lodging options include refreshments on opening night and nine meals throughout the weekend starting with Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch.
