Meet at Sloan's for an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast from 8-9 am, ($5 donation and 100% proceeds go to charity) then join our Group Fast Ride at 10 am sharp! All makes/models are welcome! At 10:00 am, join the Indian Riders Group for a fun ride to Lynchburg!
Sloan’s October “PBR” is to benefit the local chapter of Association of Combat Veterans M/C Club!
The ACV has members from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. Their mission is to support and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Their focus is to help Veteran’s care facilities provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say "Thank You" or "Welcome Home".
ACV membership is comprised of Full Members (those with verified combat service) and Supporter Members (those who have non-combat military service, and have a sincere dedication to helping veterans). Many members continue to serve in our Armed Forces, with several serving in combat areas now.
The local chapter, TN 18-1, sponsors and/or participates in many motorcycle-related charity events each year, and as a non-profit organization (501C-19), donate to various veteran care facilities and veteran charities. TN 18-1 has worked with many organizations to provide assistance to our Veterans. They have worked with and raised money for Purple Heart Homes, Ambucs, Fallen Soldiers March, Homes for our Troops, OSDN, Fisher House, and they have adopted Ward 8A at the Alvin C. York VA Hospital here in Murfreesboro. The mission for the October 4th Pancake Breakfast Ride is to raise sufficient funds to underwrite a Christmas party for the veterans in Ward 8A!
