In days gone by, the Club Run was the social heart of the Cycling Club. A weekly rendezvous where life-long friendships were made, essential cycling skills were passed down and a sense of camaraderie and group spirit pervaded.  In modern times, our busy modern lives have left little room for such time honoured traditions until now...

The Club Run

The 2011 Giro d'Italia comes to a climax this weekend so why not join us for the Club Run and then catch the finale of Stage 20, the last crucial mountain stage finishing on the iconic climb of Sestriere. Departing the Sigma Sport store at 10am on Saturday 28 May  the run will feature another custom designed route into Surrey.

The Club Run is a fully supported ride starting and finishing at the Store.  Lead by experienced La Fuga guides with a support vehicle carrying spares so that you don't need to worry about the route or mechanical issues.  That leaves you free to enjoy the ride, engage in fun and interesting conversation whilst getting out into the countryside.

We will be joined by members of the Sigma Sport - Specialized Pro UCI team to share their knowledge and experience with you.

And after you return from the ride, why not join us in the Club Room to watch the climax of stage 20 of the Giro d'Italia. We'll even throw in a bottle or two of Prosecco to toast the victor.

Participation on the ride costs £25 and spaces are limited to 20.  What you get for this is -

Ability

We would love to cater for all abilities however for the safety of all participants we need to ensure that all participants :

• are over the age of 18
• have 6 months + riding experience especially within a group
• must wear a helmet
• must be suitably dressed for the elements
  

Our rides are not about racing each other but enjoying great company, interesting conversation and experiencing great cycling roads.
