AMWA PSU and NWOMF
Film and Panel Discussion

Students, faculty and staff with an interest in health care careers and the history of women in healthcare are invited to attend this free informational event.

The program will begin with the screening of the movie “The Feminine Touch: The Struggle for Equality in Medicine”. In 1892, Andrew Taylor Still did the unimaginable when he accepted women and men equally into his new medical school. The Feminine Touch showcases the valiant women who rose above adversity in those early years, and includes today’s prominent female physicians who carry on that legacy.

After the screening, a panel of successful and prominent female DOs in the Portland area will share their experiences and answer questions about osteopathic medicine, medical school, health and wellness, and other topics of interest to the group.

The event is FREE, but we would appreciate an RSVP so we have enough handouts and materials for the entire group.
