CFS Remote Site for the CFPB FinEx National Conference

Join CFS for our remote viewing of the CFPB's one-day national conference of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Financial Education Exchange. Watch and participate with other financial education practitioners from around the country in providing input on a set of principles to build and support financial well-being.

Information about the conference from the CFPB:

Join us for a one-day national conference of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Financial Education Exchange, where financial education practitioners from around the country will engage with the CPFB and each other around promising practices to build financial well-being.

The CPFB FinEx conference will provide you the opportunity to provide input on a set of principles to support financial well-being. You will also be invited to discuss and develop a list of promising strategies, based on your own work in the financial education field, that can help individuals achieve their own financial goals and improve their overall financial well-being.

Information on attending the CFPB FinEx Conference Remotely with CFS:

  • The conference will run from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Central time. CFS will be streaming the conference all day, but please feel free to come and go throughout the day as fits with your schedule.
  • The conference will consist of opening remarks, and then five sessions in which there will be brief presentations and question/answer time, followed by discussion among in-person participants at their tables. These discussions will be used to gather feedback and ideas about financial education strategies to support financial well-being.
  • Remote participants will be able to watch and listen to the presentations via webinar and audio conference. During the group discussion times, remote participants will have the opportunity to send their answers to the discussion questions to the CFPB via an online survey tool (participation in the survey and feedback process is optional).  Our remote group can discuss the questions together and submit responses either individually or as a group. CFS will facillitate, gather, and relay the feedback and input that is collected from our hosting location.
  • Your responses and the group responses to the discussion questions will be compiled and added to responses from the in-person conference participants (without attribution to individuals).
  • After the conference, all participants – both in-person and remote – will have the opportunity via an online survey to provide feedback on the list of strategies compiled at the conference.

We hope that you will join us for all or part of this great opportunity to be a part of shaping this set of principles to support financial well-being. Your experience and input are invaluable to the continued growth of the field.
