Women's Day By The Sea 

Seaside United Methodist Church is honored to host the 6th Women's Day By The Sea on Saturday, October 25, 2014.  The day will begin at 8:45am with a continental breakfast; the program starts at 9:30am with a break for lunch and concludes in the sanctuary at 3:00 pm.  The fee for the event is $25.00, includes lunch, and is open to all women.  

Our guest speaker this year is Maye Hayes Jepson.

Maye lives in Smithfield, Virginia with her husband, Dr. Phil - No! Not that one, but a school administrator with the Isle of Wight County Public Schools.

She has experienced some major life interruptions and has learned to navigate difficult times when our lives are turned upside down by an event that leaves us reeling. Through those experiences, she has identified with the Old Testament character, Jonah, who ran but later learned to trust in the sovereignty of the Almighty God.

Maye will speak on "Lessons Learned Through Life's Interruptions." An interruption-a tragic loss, a difficult diagnosis, an unexpected empty bank account, or a broken relationship-can leave us mired in uncertainty.  How do we prepare for 'certain uncertainty?'  

Musical guests are Paula and Angie Music Ministries.  This mother daughter duo have a love for music words can't begin to describe.  Paula Greene and Angie Greene Gray currently reside in Wilmington, NC. with their families.  Sharing music styles of traditional hymns, gospel, praise and worship with their flair has been a blessing to all who have attended any of their venues.
